The National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc. (NATS)
was founded in 1944 and is now the largest association of teachers of singing in the world with a membership of over 7000 members in the United States, Canada and over 30 countries. (Read more about the history of NATS) Our membership consists of teachers of singing who hold positions at colleges and universities, maintain private studios as Independent Teachers, collaborative pianists, and voice scientists. Fourteen regions are organized in the United States and Canada, and the North Central Region has chapters in five states/provinces: Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
